Max Cruise Marine Announces Strategic Partnership with S.I.T Yachts and Dawn Hunters on New Alu-Exp Expedition Catamaran Project
Max Cruise Marine is pleased to announce a new strategic partnership with S.I.T Yachts and the Dawn Hunters team, supporting the development, marketing, and production of an exciting new aluminium expedition catamaran project under the Alu-Exp brand.
The partnership was publicly announced during a Dawn Hunters YouTube live broadcast, where William and Iana shared the background behind the project and introduced the team involved in bringing the concept forward. The Alu-Exp project has been shaped by many years of liveaboard experience, offshore cruising, refit work, and detailed research into what makes a safe, practical, and capable long-range exploration vessel.
The new partnership brings together complementary strengths from across the marine industry. Dawn Hunters will contribute real-world liveaboard experience and practical testing from their current aluminium catamaran, which is being used as a working platform to evaluate systems, layouts, materials, and offshore cruising requirements. S.I.T Yachts will support sales, brokerage, marketing, and client care, while Max Cruise Marine will provide proven boatbuilding capability, technical knowledge, and production experience from its facilities in Vietnam.
Max Cruise Marine’s involvement reflects the company’s continuing commitment to innovation, robust construction, and practical offshore cruising solutions. The Alu-Exp project is being developed as a serious aluminium exploration catamaran, with a strong focus on safety, durability, watertight integrity, offshore capability, and long-term independence.
Unlike a concept based only on renderings or theoretical design, the Alu-Exp project will follow a measured development process. The first vessel will be built, floated, tested, and evaluated before wider market release. This process will include checks on structure, weight, drivetrain, centre of gravity, systems, and real-world usability.
The partnership also strengthens Max Cruise Marine’s presence across Asia. S.I.T Yachts, together with its regional sales network, will support the promotion and representation of Max Cruise Marine catamarans, helping new clients discover the brand’s existing range of performance cruising and hybrid-ready sailing catamarans.
